This is the second public preview release of XAML Spy, released on May 2, 2012. This version stops functioning after May 31, 2012.

  • Application list detail view for alternative view on applications
  • Search for applications and user interface. In the applications page the search box acts as a filter for displayed applications. In the user interface page you can search for visual elements where the search results are represented in a new search results pane.
  • PathGeometry members now properly supported in the property grid
  • Adding a new Silverlight desktop or phone XAP package automatically selects the correct Silverlight or Windows Phone application manager.
  • The user interface page is automatically selected when a spyable application is started
  • XAML Spy browser for Silverlight InBrowser applications displays proper error messages when XAP processing fails
  • Replaced 'add to favorites' with 'toggle favorite' command
  • All scrollbars participate in metro theme
