Microsoft today released the Windows Phone SDK Update for Windows Phone 7.8. The update adds two new Windows Phone 7.8 emulator images, a 512MB and a 256MB image.
With the Windows Phone 7.8 SDK update installed, you automatically get access to these new Windows Phone 7.8 emulator images in XAML Spy. There’s no need to update your existing XAML Spy installation, although using the latest version is always a smart thing.
Configure the default Windows Phone target device (settings > windows phone) and select the new 7.8 emulator images for your Windows Phone 7.x apps as is demonstrated in the image below. Alternatively you can select the Windows Phone target device in the add app wizard.
